There are a few things lineup wise which have made me have question.

I don’t like Parker Van Dyke starting. He is a shooter and I’ve always liked players like him to be first off the bench because it gives the bench scoring punch.

On the same note with the development of Jayce Johnson I wonder if Larry should start him over Collette because it would allow Collette to come off the bench and keep him out of foul trouble to start the game. Also in the Oregon game there were times where Colette’s defense was non-existent and Jaycee was way better in that aspect.

I’m still wondering what happened to Zamora. When he was playing great for us we were clicking and now he’s non-existent. I really want to see him come back for this team. If barefield and Bonham started for Utah we’d be in a great place.

I think Parker Van Dyke gets too much grief. He wasn’t good vs Oregon, but no one was. Vs Washington, he was 4-8 from three with 16 points. He is a good shooter that will struggle vs elite matchups, which Oregon is.

I could go either way with PVD starting or not. I think it’s part matchups. But I think the best person to start is WHOEVER plays the best defense… or maybe ANY defense.

I’m guessing PVD starting was part of some sort of disciplinary action for Bonam for the Oregon game, late for a meeting, lazy practice, etc. Bonam has started every game this season, also he came in for PVD about three minutes into the game. Don’t look for PVD to continue to start, I’ll bet he doesn’t tonight.

No way Jayce is going to start over Collette.

I too wonder what has happened to Zamora, teams finally got some film and have broken down tendencies? Not sure why he dropped off the map about a quarter of the way into the conference schedule. He had 18 points in 37 minutes at ASU, since then his minutes and point production have dropped off.
