      It is a very powerful movie. Very poignant. And the cinematography is stunningly beautiful. In think it is one of the best in a decade.

        Just finished it. Great movie. I can’t begin to understand. The last actor, Trevante Rhodes, did such a great job…the same mannerisms and everything of 16 year old Black. It was incredible. 

        I loved Juan’s responses to Little’s questions at the beginning. Perfect answers.

      Watched this on the flight today. While the acting and cinematography were great, the story did nothing for me at all. I mostly just ended up bored. Utah’s comment of “I can’t begin to understand” probably sums it up well.

      I guess if I’m going to watch the struggles of black youth in the inner city, I’d much rather just watch any random episode of The Wire. It’s far more interesting.
