A lot of love for Utah recruits coming in on the final Top 24/7 player rankings!

Hell yeah. So as of now our 247 4*s in this class are
      Lander Barton (close to 5*)
      Nate Johnson
      Jaylon Glover
      Kaeo Akana
      Tao Johnson
Am I missing any? Hoping Peppins also gets a bump soon.

Medlock is right on the edge of being 4*

Barton isn’t really close to 5* in the composite ranks. It’s just the On3 service only. On 24/7 composite he’s .94xx which is pretty far from 5*

        Tao Johnson isn’t a 4* in the 24/7 composite.

Look at 247 rankings, not composite. Lander is ranked 40th in 247, Tao and Kaeo are 4*.

247 has Barton at 97. He’d need to be 99 to get 5 stars. It’s not as close as you’re trying to make it.

Actually 247 counts their 98 rating as a 5-star. So yes, it really is that close if we’re going off of 247 rankings.

There are literally 7 players between him and the last 5*. That’s very close.

That’s great, but it’s cherry picked. 247s claim to fame is the composite ranking, and really the only thing worth noting.

I think we’re seeing the positive-feedback effect of the Pac-12 championship.   Get some respect by winning a conference championship and suddenly your recruits are being recruited by a championship program and get more “stars” from the services.  More highly rated recruits draws more quality recruits and then leads to more championship caliber rosters.
