Kicking and special teams woes

How has our kicker and punter regressed this badly? Becker seemed like he was more than serviceable last season and now he’s horrible. Jack seems to only be slightly worse than last year. It makes sense that WRs play poorly when QBs play poorly and so on but kickers are their own thing. Also how TF can we not find a punt returner.

It’s really shocking to see how the team has regressed in so many phases of the game just in the last two seasons.

It seems like everyone but Bernard has regressed even coaching. Kuithe has had some uncharacteristic drops in key situations

Special teams has had quite a drop since it was taken over by Shah.

I would say Becker was actually pretty good last year, and Jack B. was really good. But both have regressed, especially Becker. Our punt and kick returning is also awful.

Yeah Becker was to the point where I wasn’t even worried about him kicking. This year I dread him running out onto the field.

Unless I’m mistaken, Becker only misses from the right hash.

Solution is simple, kick if left of the right hash, don’t kick from the right hash…you know analytics.

My really smart golf buddy told me something similar. I kept hitting my drives to the right. He said, “aim left.” I know. It’s crazy.

This team put too much pressure on itself to win. All year it seems like they play to not lose and make things harder on the whole team. It’s a domino effect that hits all phases. The kicking game is a reflection on the whole team.
