Kuzma is playing so much better than he did for the U. Was it a confidence boost? Or a product of playing the NBA game?

dont get me wrong, he was a good player but no one saw this coming.

Nonetheless, it’s great to see him doing well. Even if it is for the Lakers.

Both. IMO, Kuz is not really a creator, except in 1-on-1 situations, which are hard to come by in the college games when you are the “bullseye” to all your opponents. And, Utah did not have enough playmakers, unlike what you see in the NBA/Lakers. Kuz certainly has improved his shooting touch.

Thus, I believe his early success thus far is a product of both the NBA environment and his own hardwork.

His shooting improvement has been impressive. He always looked like he had the potential to be a decent outside shooter but it never showed in the numbers.

Defense is pretty lacking in NBA Summer League and Preseason.   Not so much in the NCAA.

I believe it’s both too.  You also have to give Kuzma credit for putting in the time and working on his game.  He has put in a ton of time working on his game and it shows with each off season.  Congrats to Kuz

This. Few have worked harder than Kuzma.

Wish he could have stayed another year (and that he wasn’t a Laker) but very happy for Kuzma.  Could be on his way to a great career.
