Last Chance U

[Sweetness]

I just got done watching season 2 of Last Chance U and it was phenomenal! It’s good for many reason other than its football content, but if you’re looking for something to bridge the gap over the next few weeks before football starts I would highly recommend it. Season 1 was just ok for me, but I thought season 2 was amazing! As Utah recruits a lot of JC kids I thought it was really interesting to see what it can be like for a lot of kids that go that route. I’m sure they cherry pick and dramatize certain aspects to make it more interesting, but I thought it was one of the best reality/documentary series I’ve seen in a long time!

I’m a big fan of Last Chance U, and agree with you that it’s good to get perspective on a lot of these guys’ lives as they’re trying to make their way to a D1 roster, especially since Utah does recruit a lot of JC kids. Coach Buddy is a piece of work, and outside of the football aspect I think Brittany Wagner has one of the toughest jobs in the show. It’s pretty remarkable/inspiring how invested she is in those kids and how hard she works just to get them to show up to class — let alone maintain eligibility.

I’ll have to give it a shot. I enjoyed the first season. Hopefully it’s something that they keep going.

Dude, if you liked season 1, you will love season 2! They go way more in depth into the kids lives/backgrounds. They interview family members, coaches, etc. it was super captivating for me.
