I just read the article by brother Lee, About the crowd reaction to the big screen whenever they mentioned bYu, his prose was magnificent. I was almost driven to tears, or actually it was laughter, or was it pity. Mr. Benson must have not read the 1st Amendment in the Bill of Rights. Maybe that’s too much to expect. After all he’s a Journalist, he should have a framed copy of the BOR,s on the wall behind his desk, assuming he agrees with it. Maybe that’s too much to ask. He expects you agree with him. Maybe THAT is too much to ask. A Supreme Court Justice once said that one man’ vulgarity is another man’s verse, or something like that.
Chill out Lee, free speech is there for a reason. Someone said Free Speech is not actually free but paid for by the blood of patriots and many others since it was ratified by some of the signer’s of the Declaration of Independence. BTW I am active LDS, and attended The U, as my mother did in 1939, she was a vocal U supporter. I remember her when I was young getting mad at the referees. Her and my father had season tickets for BB and FB since I can remember.
Anyway that’s me 2 scents.
