Hopefully he can get USC back to being respectable. Good for the conference if they are in playoff contention some years.

Wow.  Jaxon Dart just became a top-end Heisman candidate next year.

Good for the conference but makes it harder for the utes to win the conference south. No ?

For sure it does. But it would be awesome to see Utah and USC battling for the South each year and Oregon and Washington the top 2 in the North.

Yes, it does.  But, I think that is what we want.  I would rather be the top team in a good conference.

If usc returns to past dominance 2nd in the South will be your ceiling.

Thanks Captain Obvious. If Nebraska returns to past dominance, everyone in the B1G will have a ceiling of 2nd place as well.

You could say that about any team that used to be a top dog.

Nebraska is not in the big12.

So do you hope usc returns to national prominence or not? A or B

              A) utes dominate current pac12.

              B) USC dominates pac12 and achieves national prominance.

I realize reading comprehension is difficult for you Zoobs. But B1G = Big 10….NOT Big 12.

But to answer your question, yes I want USC to return to national prominence. And then I want Utah to battle them for the South each year. If USC finished 10-2 and Utah finished 11-1, that would still have USC as a nationally prominent program in the Top 10 for most of the year. Having USC as the “team to beat” each year, along with highly ranked Oregon, Washington, and Utah changes the national narrative for the PAC 12 to being considered one of the Top P5 conferences each year.

If Sitake comes to SLC it will be a different story. USC will have no chance against the utes under a top 5 coach like Kalani.

Yes it will be harder, but it will also put the PAC back on the national map hopefully. Hoping that Utah and USC can become legit rivals over the next few years.

Everything is coming together for next season. Very exciting. No easy paths for Utah and I like the difficulty scaling up.
