  Fun article, but I don’t remember BYU being ranked #14 in 2008 when we whipped them.
  
  It is a pity our 2004 team had to settle for playing Pitt (and making a butt load of $$$$ for the conference) in our bowl game. Would have liked to see that team take one of the power teams from that year to see how good we really were.

    Yeah–that was the crazy year when the MWC had three top-15 teams for a while. Those last few years we were in the MWC, it was a very solid conference at the top. Even Air Force and San Diego State were holding their own.

    They were #14, 10-1 or something like that. Which made the ass whooping all the better

      I have always thought the 04 team was better than the 08 team. We anahilated everyone that year.
      
      The 08 team won a great many close games and was possibly more “clutch”. The 04 was a steam roller. Here’s hoping for a repeat performance of either team in the very near future.
