ParticipantWhy have I never realized this? I think I remember it having something to do with Notre Dame.
Good hell Harlan is insane. I guess after back to back Rose Bowls with Rising you kind of see why. But the value seems to make ZERO sense after two years of this s**t show at QB. Ludwig doesn’t even take all of the blame if I am being fair.

ParticipantHe actually made $1.85M but what’s a measly extra $50K?

Josh
ParticipantBJ only makes $600K at Washington… just sayin

ParticipantI’m willing to bet that he’s one of the first people Scalley calls when Whitt retires…

ParticipantWhy anyone would leave the NFL for college in today’s environment is beyond me. Coaching the college game today is way worse than.cosching the NFL.

ParticipantBJ isn’t leaving the NFL to be an OC in college. He’d only consider coming back to Utah as HC and even that’s not likely. He’s an NFL guy he wants to be an NFL HC some day.

ParticipantI would love to have been a fly on the wall during that conversation. Idk if it’s all his fault, but somebody has to take the fall after not entering the red zone once last game 🤦♂️

ParticipantLudwig’s system could be good under certain circumstances. His offense was built around using formations and motions to show the QB certain things about the defense. The QB then needs to make a few pre and post-snap reads, and hopefully exploit weaknesses and mismatches. It worked pretty well with a QB who could do all of that reliably (Huntley or Rising). The problem is that the offense was predictable, and if the QB doesn’t check out of certain plays, the defense has a field day. Rising was (more often than not) mentally one step ahead of the defense. Wilson is not. Why Ludwig can’t make some changes to help with that situation is beyond me. I think the hope is that Bajakian can run the offense in a way that will help Wilson succeed with his current level of skill and experience.
