      Texas Tech just hired Matt Wells to replace Kingsbury. Good for him, but that sucks for Utah State.

          Wife will put the stop to that. I would live in Logan over Salt Lake though.

            Gary makes more at Utah than Wells made at USU. That’s a tough sell.

              Money isn’t everything you can only spend so much and have so much. Each to their own though.

              More like ‘been there, done that’. 

              I don’t think Gary has a strong desire to be a HC anywhere but Utah at this point in his career. He has a sweet gig right now, making big bucks at his alma mater to basically be a position coach and hang out with some of his best friends.

              I’m seeing that Gary makes 250k, is that wrong?

              That’s a lot less than Wells was making

                  I was just looking at the public Utah salaries website for 2018. It’s always possible that it’s wrong.

                   

                  Anyways Wells was making either 800k or 900k base salary plus whatever bonuses he got this season, I think Andersen would take the job if he had any interest and if his wife was on board.
