Sorry to strike a pessimistic tone, but if we consistently play offense like that, we won’t win another road game this season. What saved us last night was that Cal absolutely sucks the hind tit. They might be the worst major conference basketball team I’ve ever seen.

The good news is our defense is going to keep us in a lot of games. I think it’s safe to say we’re now a good defensive team.

But we’ve been notoriously poor shooters in every arena not named the Huntsman Center this season, and it’s going to cost us road games in conference play if we don’t see improvement. You can’t win in the PAC12 with defense only.

I think, for a rebuild year, we are doing quite well. At the very least, this year signals that maybe we got the right coach in place.

We are definitely lacking in offensive talent/firepower, tough to score when we don’t have scorers.

I thought this year would be another disaster type year – I actually love how we are tracking so far. Ahead of where I thought we would be at.

One lineup that I’d like to see is Carlson, Keita, Madsen, Lazar Stevonovic and Saunders

Forgive my spelling, the app is

It’s not the shooting that worries me, it’s the turnovers from a season long perspective. You’re right about the defense keeping us in games, if you look at the numbers we have outshot every single opponent this season (based on eFG%) but one – BYU. But we’ve only been better than our opponents in turnover percentage in 5 games (including last night) and last night was the first time it happened in a “close” game.
