He is fun to watch, on both ends of the floor. Has several steals, no look passes, 3 pointers, etc. Reminds me of some of those European players who are very skilled and smooth with their play.
I previously said he reminds me a lot of Mike Dunleavy Jr. Just average athleticism, but really good all-around skills, IQ and feel for the game. The non-conference schedule is very weak, so will have to wait to see if he can handle the athleticism and physicality of power conference talent.
I don’t watch much basketball but saw the game tonight, and agree, he was fun to watch.
As his Twitter handle is @mongolshark, I would love for his nickname to become “the shark” or something like that, as there’s not a chance I will say his last name right.
It’s not that hard. The ‘a’ in Mongolian is pronounced like the a in “all.” The rest you just say like you normally would. “Shah rav jamts.” The “ts” is one letter in Mongolian. Just smush the T and s together.
My two favorite worlds are colliding. This is like a dream come true for me. I get to talk about a Mongolian and Ute sports in the same sentence.
I’m glad he is playing well. He is a smart player that will give the Utes something they haven’t had in a while. I’m pleasantly surprised by his defensive presence. That is not something I was expecting.
A bonus is that there will be Mongolian fans at every home game supporting him.
