KeymasterAbout 1.5 hours before kickoff, my eldery dad fainted at the tailgate. He hit the pavement hard on his back. I was about 20 feet from him when I saw him going down. Fell like a tree. I grabbed some police who got some EMTs and they attended to him on the ground for awhile. Took him to the emergency room. He broke 6 ribs and is in bad shape. Got home about 1am. Saw a couple of game highlights.
Tough night for me.

ParticipantOutside of the ribs… Is he OK?

KeymasterWhen you’re 82 with six broken ribs, pneumonia is a very high risk. In the hospital for a few days to make sure that doesn’t happen.

ParticipantSorry Tony. So scary to see your dad go through that. It’s really tough to see your parents age and develop health issues. Hope he recovers quickly and gets to enjoy the rest of this great football season.
