I personally keep a rolling 5 year program ranking that takes into account 247 sports recruiting/transfer portal rankings, nfl draft picks, wins, ap top 25 rankings, ap all-Americans, heisman voting, and national championships for an overall “program ranking”. There are a bunch of holes but I wanted to share my top ten national ranking and big xii rankings.
1) Alabama, so dominant that even with just the one title the last 5 years they are here
2) Georgia, who I think will shortly be number 1 this year. 2 straight nattys
3) Ohio state, talent has bouyed them up in this ranking with recruiting and sending guys to the league
4) Michigan, last years natty winner but should drop with khakis gone
5) lsu, 2019 title and a couple heismans
6) notre dame, sends guys to the league and easy schedule every year
7) Clemson, they were top 5 until the last two years have made them drop
8) Oregon, lanning has them rising quick in this ranking
9) Oklahoma, like Clemson they are on the way down
10) Penn state, consistently in this spot but can never beat Michigan or Ohio state seemingly and so they don’t rise higher
14) Utah!
16) Cincy, cfp berth and ny6 appearances have kept them up but they are on the way back down
22) Oklahoma state
23) TCU, interestingly enough the runner up season didn’t do much for them
26) Kansas state
