My ol’ man called up and told me he bought tickets to the Behive Classic for Sat

for the whole family. So we’ll be there. My wife, my son and me, along with my parents… our little girls will be at their Grandma’s.

Assuming my tickets show up in the mail this week, I’ll be there as well. Doesn’t make sense that there’s more of a surcharge for will call than to have them mailed. Should be a fun event. First step in my grand plan/hope that eventually they make this a 3 day, round-robin tournament involving the 4 teams.

That would be so fun! It would force teams to go deep on their bench and for coaches to really coach some unique situations with tournament like play. Would be so great!

IIRC they wanted to do a round robin style tournament but teams are only allowed 1 tournament before the conference season, which isn’t attractive for the schools.

Wasn’t aware of that. Hard to argue that 3 days in Salt Lake is as attractive as 3 days in the typical warm weather locales of most tournaments. Surely we could get around this with a loophole: the teams could just conveniently schedule games against each other on 3 consecutive nights and they would all happen to be held at the Vivint. That’s not a tournament, just good planning 😁

So, I don’t believe Utah is playing in an exempt event this year (MGM resorts Main Event might be one, IDK) and we have 29 games. The real limiter is the 2 in 4 rule, where you can’t play in more than two of these events in a four year span
