My surprise player of the night is McCormick.

Watching the replay of the first play of the second quarter was a thing of beauty. On the replay it was so fun to watch two UCLA defenders crash into each other. Not a pick play as the outside WR had come inside and the DB was playing trail, then BOOM!!!!! Took out the guy covering McCormick.

And McCormick’s second TD was also beautiful. I was a bit worried with Carrington out we’d lose some pep in our passing game. Didn’t seem to be a problem.

Watching that play from my seats in the west stands I was not watching that unfold, so I had no clue how he got so open. It was just like OMG OMG hit him! once I saw it.

I was thinking some defensive player big time missed an unassignment and said to those around me (mimicking the Bruin coaches) “Hey, THAT’S not what we talked about in the half time locker room”

On our side we could see him come out and show wide open.  I was hoping that Huntley had enough time to find him.

Agreed, that was beautiful. Troy has so much speed and was used correctly in this game. Kinda made Troy Taylor look like a genius last night.

Agreed. McCormick feels like he’s never really progressed or reached his potential. Last night he felt like a weapon. 

Hopefully we can see more of this.
