ParticipantI like the Jazz. I like Gobert. This Mitchell kid is pretty exciting but not very efficient. But good hell it is just boring. I find myself just playing official and noting all of the travels on a single possession.

ParticipantJazz got rolling to end the third. Nuggets were so hot they were melting the new court.

ParticipantYeah every year I find myself getting all excited for the NBA season. I eagerly turn on the first game of the year…and after 5 minutes I put “The Godfather” or something like that on.
I guess my soul craves some basketball, so I turn on the first NBA game I can find…and figure out my soul still craves some basketball.
College hoops finally does the trick.

ParticipantWatching a game at the Huntsman center vs NBA game? I will always take the Runnin Utes.

ParticipantI MUCH prefer the NBA to college hoops. College ball is essentially passing the ball around the perimeter for 30 seconds, and somebody jacking up a shot late in the clock.
College football > NFL
NBA > College basketball

ParticipantDefense is what that’s called.

ParticipantIn the NBA, that is called “illegal defense”
Come March, I will get into college ball – and I will still watch the Utes throughout. But when it comes to the product on the floor, I much prefer the pro game.

ParticipantYeah illegal screen on every set, push offs and travelling. That is NBA ball.
Or you watch some teams, one guy dribbles it around for 24 seconds and throws up a bad shot while team mates watch. ISO basketball is boring unless it is three on three.

ParticipantThe Lakers-Clippers game last night was tough to watch. I tuned in to see Kuzma’s debut and maybe it was first night jitters for him, but he looked rushed on the few shots that I saw. Can’t entirely blame him as he was mostly in with the Lakers backup PG and there was a ton of ISO plays with Kuzma not getting a whole lot of touches. Good to see Bogut back in action though injuries have clearly taken their toll on him. He can still do his thing defensively, but at this point his offense is limited to being a good passer.
