This season alone Whitt has done such a dis-service to the players by bringing so many good athletes in and keeping them on the bench that when given the opportunity show up and show out, even if its for a game or two.
Knowing how bad this season has been especially how badly Whitt poorly managed the QB position the past two years, it won’t surprise me if many of them hit the portal knowing their worth and not wanting to stick around waiting for an opportunity to showcase their talent wasting talent by not playing them for whatever reason. Not sure if Singer is a senior, but if he’s got one more year of eligibility left, I don’t see him sticking around and wasting it at Utah.
I think its obvious to me, Whitt’s achilles heal as head coach in his inability to properly evaluate and judge the offensive side of the ball, especially the QB position. Good and defense, very poor and offense and what cost Utah many deep runs into the post season Pac-12 era.
