          Also, seems kinda cheesy to unveil these against Oregon who actually have a good looking feather design on their lids.

      I honestly believe there are people who would rather watch clips of football players posing in novel uniforms and helmets with black visors than watch an actual football game.

        To each his own I guess. Utah football may well be my favorite thing in this world apart from my family. The University itself coming in just behind that. But, I also collect helmets, particularly those of my team. So sue me for getting excited when they unveil something I think would look great on my shelf.

        I’m sure you meant to be humorous in your response, and as you’re a fellow fan, I’ll happily laugh with you. Unfortunately, the impersonal nature of a text forum fails to relay the true intent of a post, so forgive me if I took your post as a dig at me personally. I’m sure that wasn’t the intent.

        That being said, Go Utes!!! Beat the Ducks!!!

          Those lids are very cool. I still want to see Dahle’s full headdress design implemented. Those would be the coolest of all time.

          I was being facetious.  But I was also trying to make a point.  Go ahead and take personal offense, if you’re so inclined.  I’m sure you’ll get over it.

          Remember this: you don’t hold the monopoly on loving your team.  And for every fan who loves the modern video game-ification of college football, there’s a fan like me who laments how college sports is quickly losing its collegiate feel and the aesthetic they grew up with.

          To each his own, indeed.  

          So I’ll close by simply saying: Go Utes! 

          And to show I meant no hard feelings I’ll add: Go Under Armour! We Must Protect This House! and Let’s get another Univerisity of Utah Credit Union First Down! Yay!

      didn’t like the hand U helmet last year, don’t care for this one either

        I think the only hand painted helmets I have liked are the black drum and feather from a few years ago. I feel like this helmet is missing something.

        You obviously watched the clip with the sound off.  Watch it again.  The music clearly indicates that the new helmets are totally badass.

      Those are awful…I did like the hand painted feather and drum though.
