Cool, like him or not Urban has continued to be a Utah and Coach Whit ambassador. Once a Ute always a Ute.

This may be great news. He has had some great QBs at OSU like Stroud. Utah needs a QB “whisperer” to help develop our young QBs.

Is that a lateral move going from QB coach to OC analyst?

Former QB coach. His position was being given to Bill O’Brien, the new OC. My guess is we’re bringing him on to be a de facto QB coach. The Utes may have hit the limit of assistant coaches, and he can’t be called a coach.

As an analyst, he can’t coach or recruit. However, he would be in perfect position to take over as an offensive coach should a spot become available. Could the hire be a signal that Whitt is bringing in people that Scalley wants after the transition?

As an analyst he can’t coach or recruit if the NCAA gave a rip and paid attention to this stuff which they don’t.

He will be doing both at Utah.

This is only Utah’s first on staff analyst most of the blue blood programs already have 3-5 on staff.

10/10 hire absolutely something that was needed to elevate Utah passed the plateau they are in.
