Losses to two bad teams only managing 23 and 21 points against BAD defenses. Losses to two good teams. I would argue Utah went 1-2 against quality teams. The rest of the wins Utah was favored in all of the games.

This season, like a few others is hard to grade.   I think it would be a higher grade if we lost to other teams.  I feel like we had the opportunity to have a 4.0 and slept through a final exam or too and made out with a 3.0.    I can’t believe we swept USC and UCLA, Arizon and Arizona St. and didn’t win the South Division.  To lose by a foot at CAL due to a freshman making a bad read following his blocker, as well as a dropped pass for a sure game winning TD.   All our losses were so close, and that is probably the most frustrating part.  This year was a step forward compared to years past, but I think we missed our chance at the division.  I’ll give it a B-.

I picked C because at the beginning of the season, I picked 8-4 as our possible record. So the actual record was 8-4… which means they met my expectations, but didn’t exceed them. I think that deserves an average grade.

This is real life. Football teams aren’t graded on a curve. 😉

I voted C. I think by definition finishing 3rd in a 6 team division is a straight C regardless of expectations going into a season.
