      Remember when the Huntsman center was packed 15 minutes before the game started. I think Ute fans looked forward to BB because the football program was not great. Now it’s reversed.

      A couple of bad coaching hires and lack of winning has hurt the program. No rivals in the pac 12. Plus BB had a much older fan base that can’t make the cold late night games anymore.

      Hopefully the Big 12 will bring back a new challenge and help with recruiting. Problem is this conference is way better top to bottom than pac 12. It would be fun to see us get back to prominence again.

      We would religiously show up for a 10PM tipoff on Big Mondays with Rick at the helm. So fun back then. Now it’s tough to even go to a 7pm game on a Saturday.

      Follow up to my previous take. The size and athleticism on defense has changed the game. It used to be passing, moving the ball and finding the open man was fun to watch. Pick and roll dribble dribble basketball is not fun to watch. The days of Jack Gardner Jerry Pimm and Rick Majerus are long gone.
