I also find the purpose of the scholarship incredibly ironic coming from him.  The 400 million is going to raise the pot to 750 million to help solve problems like climate change and poverty.  I think he also took 30 million back from Oregon when they were critical of Nike’s labor practices. But he did give the 30m back to Oregon.

Also Stanford’s endowment is 22 billion so again this is just another case of the rich getting richer and richer.

This is in addition to the cool $1B he gave the business school a few years ago. Good for him for funding academics like this.
