Utah#1Participant
Everyone in the Big12 is going to gunning for us and give us their ALL! Hell, even Utah St and Barnes are going to come out swinging. Every team on Utah’s schedule has got Utah CIRCLED on their calendar. If Utah, some how makes it 12-0. 11-1 or even 10-2, we did exceptionally well with or without Cam. Go UTES!

UtesRockParticipant
I had a bit of sauce, so forgive me, but it is one thing to be gunning for Utah and another to intentionally try to send a head hunter for your quarterback. I’ve lost all respect for Baylor and their Coaching staff!
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
They’re big mad about that targeting, and I can’t say I blame them. It was pretty egregious. That was Barton, right? I guess he’s available against Utah State, but honestly, he deserves some team discipline for that one. It was ugly.
-
TruckStopTerrorsParticipant
It wasn’t Lander.
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
Good. They said 11, and I know Barton changed his #. I was actually up at the car show in Brigham City for Peach days instead of watching the game. I essentially had to keep looking at the ESPN gamecast and the Reddit game thread during the game.
I keep looking for my first car when I go to a car show. It was a 1970 Pontiac LeMans. I came the closest ever this time around. Somebody in a low-rider club had a 72!

It was Gilman

You think the play that injured Rising was intentional? It should have been a penalty, but it wasn’t that dirty and Utah’s targeting hit was way worse.
-
UtahParticipant
The dude pushed him 6 yards out of bounds. Maybe he didn’t meant to bust his hand up, but he meant to inflict pain on Rising.
Cheap and pathetic.
-
AlohaUteParticipant
No he didn’t, that’s silly. Big guys like that don’t stop on a dime.
-
UtahParticipant
He absolutely did. This is not controversial.
-
22Ute22Participant
He shoved him and then proceeded to talk smack. If he was actually a good sportsman, he would have tried to keep rising upright.
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
Watch the replay. It was intentional.

The Big 12 sucks. Their “toughness” is late hits and celebrating after a ball is overthrown by 15 yards.
It’s sad how bad the Big 12 is.
-
AlohaUteParticipant
We spent all off -season being mocked for not being thrilled with the Big-12. Having to hear moron BYU fans and some other irrational fans claim that the Pac-12 wasn’t any better than a Big-12 w/o Texas and Oklahoma, only to get two weeks in to have our views confirmed.
Is the Big-12 better than the Mountain West? Yes. 100%. But it’s a good thing we have UA, ASU, BYU, and Colorado in the conference with us, cuz I’d much rather play Boise State, Wyoming and Colorado State than UCF, Houston, or Cincinnati.

-
AlohaUteParticipant
If Rising is healthy and playing, yes they are. If he’s not, you are right.
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
Utah at ASU is all of a sudden looking kinda iffy.
-
CharlieParticipant
I will relax a bit for now. Rising may play next week, if not there will be a game plan developed and practiced for QB2. Either way, USU will be physical and hyped up to make a statement. They are playing with the QB we could have had if we wanted. We may have issues in the near future but I don’t see them next week. We do need Whitt to walk over and see what the place kickers are doing this week.
-
TednabParticipant
I saw an average team play today . Nothing passes the eye test that this team is head and shoulders above any of the teams on our schedule., they look like where they left off from last years team ..8-4 with no offense
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
USU almost played their QB1 today. Barnes probably won’t play next week
-
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Utah’s defense is good enough to keep everyone of the games close.
-
TheNuschlerParticipant
I watched a lot of games where some targeting penalties were obvious, also, some where I don’t see how players could hold up and make a natural football play. It’s a difficult one for me, I get it for the safety of players, but I also can see that if you slow every play down, you will get contact to the helmet.
