Again, not saying we need to bench anyone but if we have 4 freebies before we burn his redshirt then let’s throw Jack in there and see what he can do.

      What do you all think?

People would kill to have senior QB with a full year of starting experience.  Lets fix the Oline and not throw a freshman into fire where he’s more like to throw picks and make other Bad Decisions.  Maybe one game the Utes will have a confortable margin they can give him a tryout in the 4th Q.   Too bad it didn’t happen vs Weber or NIU.

Shelley has beat him out for the two spot though. The coaches are well aware of the four game rule. Everything I have heard from everyone is that Tuttle is not ready.

Exactly, and if you put him in, you’re going to see the same result as J.T. Daniels or worse.

One way to get back to running the ball is to play a QB who can actually run the ball.  With our WR and pass-blacking as it is, even if Shelley/Tuttle were equivalent overall, I’s still favor the dude who can run.

I have many gripes with Huntley, but I would let him start at WSU. If things look the same, then I would pull him for a few series (or more) and put Shelley in. Maybe Shelley is worse, maybe not. If things do not improve, maybe Tuttle plays, or maybe Huntley starts playing with a bit more fire realizing that he needs to fight for the starting job. Bottomline is that Huntley, and others, need to step things up or it should be “next man up.” That includes an injured Moss… stop playing a gimpy player over a very capable backup just because the backup has “not earned it in practice.”

Unfortunately it seems we have a “freshman” offensive coordinator.
