Saw this and found it interesting. I think a strong case could be made that Utah gets so many high 3* players that our roster really has a lot more 4* talent on it than what is shown here…not to mention, at Development U our talent gets coached up as well or better than anywhere else in the country.
So from a talent perspective, I think our roster is more similar to what Notre Dame and Michigan have than the teams below us on this chart. Just my opinion, what does everyone else think?
This is how each New Year's Six Bowl team stacks up in terms of roster talent 👀

Wow. Very interesting. It shows the deep divide between the haves and have-nots. How can we be expected to compete with teams that have as many 5-star players as we have 4-star players? (Utah has never had a 5-star player.)
I wish there was something that could be done to equalize the playing field. But, I suspect with the NIL it will only get worse.
Kind of surprised we have more than Michigan State. People ask why we don’t recruit better despite our success, this just shows only a few teams can recruit at that next level
This is also just the 2021 NY6 teams. Most of the Top 10 in Team Recruiting rankings have profiles similar to Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State. This would include Clemson, Oregon, LSU etc.
Then there’s that next tier of Recruiting going from outside the Top 10 to about the Top 40 where we are.
