Here’s a crazy thought… What would you think if Lincoln Riley gets fired this year, Morgan Scalley takes over as our head coach, and Riley joins Utah as our OC? Riley still has 8 years left on his $110MM contract, so USC would be footing the bill. Seems like a match made in heaven and rumors are Riley already tried to hire Morgan. We’d have a proven defensive mind that knows how to create a tough culture in charge of our program, along with a proven offensive mind and recruiter leading the offense. Chip Kelly is the OC at Ohio state, so maybe it could happen!!

I’d take him, but U$C isn’t going to fire him because the buyout is >$90 million. Now, if they find cause…

First, I don’t think he would go from being head coach of one of the bluest blue blood programs to an OC.

Second, I think he’ll get another shot as head coach somewhere.

Third, I think he’s a cancer and we don’t need that in our program!

I also think he’ll get another shot, or take a Lane Kiffin route and land at a Georgia or Alabama type program, run their offense for a year or two until a HC job opens up that he likes, and jump.

Chip Kelly has always liked running an offense, so not surprised he’d go back to that.

Plus Lincoln’s ego is 100x that of Chip. There is ZERO chance he would accept anything below P2 for any position or opportunity.
