ParticipantGood article.

ParticipantIt sounds like the Big12 is doing everything possible to get the PAC12 to dissolve. I had no clue that this crap was happening.

ParticipantGreat article. The Big12 was full of crap and was clearly trying to destabilize our conference.
Per the saying: what goes around comes around, I wouldn’t mind if we poached the Big12 in the future. But I don’t think any of that would happen for a long time (until the GOR expires).
Hopefully our conference leadership and athletic directors keep their heads on straight in the meantime.

ParticipantThere’s no way the PAC12 schools’ presidents are going to be outmaneuvered by a bunch of glorified community college presidents.

ParticipantYes, it’s not like the P12 Presidents would let two schools in by far the biggest market get away.

Dallas
ParticipantOr stand by idle while their commissioner sinks their conference.

ParticipantTwo points to refute that:
1. The P12 presidents had no say in the matter of USC and UCLA leaving. They do have say in the matter of media rights and posturing against the B12.
2. Reminder that the B12 presidents also let their two biggest schools get away. So it’s a wash at worst.

ParticipantYou know, I wouldn’t be so sure. When you get in a fight with idiots, they tend to drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Badum tssss!

ParticipantThe fact that the Big 12 had been resorting to lies and misinformation suggests that they view the Pac-12 as a threat. In fact, it suggests they’re so threatened by the existence of the Pac-12 that they don’t care about getting exposed as liars, as they may feel their backs are already up against the wall. All the current “Texas” teams, plus Oklahoma St had all earlier applied for membership, and were it not for those rat bastards at USC sabotaging the league by furtively negotiating with the BigTen — all while blocking any Big 12 teams from joining to strengthen the league — the Big 12 would turn into an even more “midmajory” league than they are now. They clearly feel as though they have nothing to lose, so they’re going “all in” on their “misinformation” campaign.

ParticipantWhy are we still using Canzano as a source?!?
-
Central Coast Ute
ParticipantWho should we listen to? Please don’t say CBS

ParticipantIt’s a fair question as Canzano has definitely had some big misses in terms of predictions (which I think highlights just how little anyone in the media knows what is going on).
That said – unlike his prior predictions, this is Canzano talking about his own personal experience, and I have no reason to believe he would make this sort of stuff up.

ParticipantI agree. I would just like to know who he thinks we should be listening to. Wilner has also had several misses with realignment.

ParticipantIt is an article. I disagree with it being good. It is clear Canzano is pushing the Big12 narrative or doing it for clout or wants P12 to pay him.
