Those same people commenting on how disappointed they are would have bitched about a Rose Bowl or not getting the three seed.
Sports are meant to be fun. Even with a monetary investment from fans it is minsicule compared to what these players contribute to the sport. They are excited to play and even if it is the backups I will cheer on the Utes.
Always look on the bright side of life. Compared to fan bases locally it is always a good day to be a Ute.
Agreed. I would rather see my team faceplant in a championship game than not even have that opportunity at all, year after year.
Falling to the Alamo bowl against Texas is the football equivalent of a first world problem.
It’s fascinating to watch a whole chat board go through the 5 stages of grief after a loss. It’s definitely not unique to UteHub. I think most of us are between bargaining and depression at this point. Some are stuck on anger.
Hopefully by bowl time we have all reached acceptance.
I was confused. I had a moment of anger when Whitt went for it on fourth down at midfield. Then back to confusion then finally acceptance by the final play.
Considering I had to go deal with a suicidal domestic violence situation I felt I had it pretty much ok in life. 2019 is super memorable. Compares to 2015. I felt like Huntley could have left Utah as the GOAT. I put him in the top five of Utah QBs.
There are also certain fan types. There’s the overly negative fan, where everything sucks and fire the coach. There’s the overly positive fan. There’s the fan who has high hopes and instantly loses hope on the first drive of the game when we don’t get a first down. It’s somewhat interesting to note the different personality types and when you realize them, nothing they say comes as a surprise.
