Well maybe we can get them to forfeit then.

I’m thinking it’s been a long time since they were a part of gameday.

Edit, looked it up, 2013, they were playing Oregon and ranked #16.

How many of those games have they been the underdog?

At least you are honest. I expect a similar game to last year. It was one of the best overall games Utah played last year and it was a huge struggle to get the win. I loved the Husky Stadium remodel and aside from the weather it was a great trip and great football game. I think it is nice for the conference to have some different faces at the top this year.

      Husky GameDay losses:

      1998 lost to #2 Nebraska

      2002 lost to #13 Michigan

2003 lost to #2 Ohio State

      2013 lost to #2 Oregon

Thanks @raftpeople, I guess that means we have a great chance of finishing in the top 2 this year. According to those numbers I’d say about a 75% chance of finishing ranked #2.

Wahoo, party!!!!!!!!! Actually I think this will be a good game, the follow on question, what was UW ranked when they played those games?

I think this should be a good game with WA having a little advantage in some offensive areas but very similar in a lot of ways.  The Game Day games in the past were generally mimsatches with the exception being in 2002.  That was a close game, went down to the last play, etc.

          Records at end of season:

          1998

          #4 Nebraska 9-4

          #18 Washington 6-6

          2002

          #12 Michigan 10-3

          #9 Washington 7-6

          2003

          #2 Ohio State 11-2

          #17 Washington 6-6

          2013

          #3 Oregon 11-2

          #25 Washington 9-4

Thanks for the reply, good information.

The polls are crazy for the first four weeks, and then things start to settle out. I think both Utah and Washington should finish top 15 this season. Hopefully we finish top 10.
