After tonight’s road performance at USC where Jakob Poeltl scored 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds I think we can discuss the Pac-12 Player of the Year award.

Jakob is progressing very nicely as is the rest of the team. Getting better as the season progresses and peaking at the end of the regular season which is perfect timing.

Perhaps not. If Poeltl can light it up the rest of the season. O has the advantage being in 1st place though.

I think if Poeltl keeps his play up and the Utes finish 3-0 at home these last games he will win it. A share of the Pac-12 regular season champ would help.

Both are deserving. Brooks is impressive. Poeltl far for dominant though, imo. Swap them teams and I firmly believe Oregon gets better, and Utah gets worse

If I were Poetl, I’d stay at Utah all 4 years majoring in kinesiology and acting on Sorority Row. The women in college are amateurs looking for love; the women chasing NBA players are well used professional gold diggers.

Kidding aside, your college years are the funnest of your life. I’d stick around and enjoy it. NBA is a job and all that goes with that. Full on grinder of 82 games, endless road trips, media scrutiny of the players, etc. I am quite sure that Larry has been filling him in on that as you hear slight hints from Larry that he might come back.

If you listened to Poetl’s post game interview, the improvement in his English Speaking skills from last year to this year is very noticeable.

I just wish he’d once in an interview blurt out “get to da choppa!”
