To counter some of the negativity connected to the inconsequential comeback by OSU in the second half, I would like to submit a modicum of optimism. It seems like Parker Van Dyke is starting to emerge from his cocoon. He did pretty well against some of the scrubby teams we played earlier on the season, but has essentially disappeared during conference play. But within these last two games against the Oregon teams, he has brought it on offense. He’s been looking for his shot and draining some big buckets. He still needs work on defense, but this looks like a nice start. Maybe he does have a solid future at the D1 level? He’s giving me a little hope.
