First big game of the year, 8pm kickoff. The pregame anxiety has kicked in early this year. Supposed to be a very windy night and the possibility of a hobbled Zack Moss on top of the other issues we’ve seen so far this season make me nervous for this game.

Gonna be a long few days. Go Utes!

Shyne is great. If Moss can’t go Shyne will do fine.

Whenever the words ” will do fine..” are used. it’s time to panic

Shyne hasn’t looked like his old self. Just looks rusty and he’s been fumbling. I hope I’m wrong.

I think it takes a few tune up runs. Moss was the same way last year until the SC game. Hopefully Shyne has the lights turn on that game.

Agreed, it was not until USC game that Moss really showed an aggressive running style; before that, I was longing for Shyne. Before his injury, Shyne looked to me far better than Moss, hitting holes quickly and running through contact (which again, before USC, Moss was not doing). Shyne has fumbled once this year. Although he has limited touches, I would not say he is particularly fumble-prone. I feel very confident with Shyne running the ball.

Winds during the afternoon are rediculous, 25 mph with gusts to 45 mph.   Some drop off in the evening, but gusts up to 30 mph still possible with a 20-25 mph south wind at kickoff dropping to 15-20 mph by the end of the game.  Might be good to take the wind in the 1st Q and hope it drops off by the 2nd Q.

Damn, that’s not gonna make for enjoyable tailgating. Oh well, I’ll hold on to my bourbon extra tight.

Could be problematic for drinkers of light beer – hang on tight!
