  Ugh, it pains to me to predict a loss but I think the Utes drop this one: 41-24 Washington.

  24-17 Utes…a win and a cover. Our defense will get Dimick back and another week to get Norris closer to being healthy. Travis will make some plays. It’ll be a slugfest and not comfortable but we’ll find a way to get it done late.

  I never predict a Utah loss, but… I just have a really, really bad feeling about this one.
  
  I also hope that I am wrong. Dead wrong. So wrong it’s comical. PLEASE let me be wrong.

  I use ‘home-made’ stats in figuring who to pick in the five “pick em’s I pick in. All my stats say Utah wins but the bookies have Washington a 1-1/2 favorite. The stats say Utes in a close one, so I am picking Utah.

  The bookies aren’t predicting the outcome. They’re putting a number on the board which they think will get 50% bets on each side so they can make their vig.

  I have read several things about how bookies make and adjust their lines — but they have a better record than any of the computers (Sagarin, Massey, and several others) as well as the total yds and all. So, I take that into consideration.

  Hackett says something hilarious I wish I overheard.
  Defense sacks Washington 5 times, bringing tons of pressure leading to 3 additional interceptions.
