I wonder. BYU’s had slow starts before–but this year seems different.
One week from now, they’ll be sitting at 1-3 with just three home games remaining for the rest of the year. Think about that for a minute: just halfway through September and only three home games left. On the other hand, they’ll still have SIX road games to play, including two trips to the eastern time zone and one to Hawaii. That’s brutal.
You know Utah State’s gotta be licking their chops right now. Up in Logan, that’s another game BYU could very easily lose. And if they do . . . hello 1-6! And then the wheels REALLY come off. All bets are off. At that point, I could see them lose to teams like @East Carolina, @UNLV and @Hawaii. It could get really, really ugly.
Independence was such a bad idea.
