In all the discussion of QBs, let’s not forget Drew Lisk. The guy was not highly recruited, but he is a baller, loves Utah, and all he does is win games.

I am sad to see Tuttle leave for many reasons (e.g., depth, the future, recruiting, PR), but he probably saw the writing on the wall that Huntley is going to be the starter this year and next. Shelley is no. 2 and in line to replace Huntley, and there will be other QBs signed and in the pipeline (fingers crossed for Daniels). The timing is unfortunate, but I understand Tuttle’s decision to want to be somewhere where he has a good chance of playing soon. Think of all the talented 5* kids that sign with Bama, USC, etc. with aspirations to be in the NFL, but end up being mostly backups all four years (e.g., Max Browne). If you want to go to the next level, you need to have the opportunity for playing time in college.

Tuttle is a smart guy.  Afterall, he pick Utah over many others.  I think you’re absolutely right.  If I were to guess, I see him going to Vanderbilt and playing for Andy Ludwig and maybe someday having the game of his life by upsetting Bama, lol.  I just wish him well and thank him for putting his trust in our coaches.
