So it sounds like Wilson has clearly been playing injured, and yet Whitt kept trotting him out there every week. I think that’s because Wilson was very likely promised a backup role during the recruiting process. Whitt didn’t want to lose him to the portal at seasons end by going with other healthy options at QB so he kept him in there until he couldn’t complete basic throws.
Wilson acts like a prima donna and it shows on the sidelines with how other players interact with him.
So now Whitt says that he’ll give Rose and Wilson equal reps in practice. Why hadn’t this been happening all along given Wilson’s injuries, whatever they are? What about Huard?
It does the team no good in the end when someone is anointed to a role without really earning it as I suspect is the case with Wilson. He should have been benched long before the Houston game IMO, as he was horrible.
You can just add this season as another QB debacle and it all leads back to the top.

Isn’t the injury the from the Houston game? Or is this the old injury he’s waiting on the surgery for?

Right? Left wrist at Houston or something else in practice? Or the whole ‘needs to get a kneecap replaced’ that was from last season of HS and he’s been putting off.

Well not the most trusting source. But based on what Whitt said in that video you posted it sure makes it seems like it has been a problem for awhile. I have seen him limp a few times.
That leg sleeve he wears seems like it is for that injury he hasn’t repaired.

QB Mis-management, fixed it for you.

Rose and Huard must look really bad at practice to not get a shot when Wilson is injured and not playing great.

TIC?
I mean Rising must have looked worse in camp than Brewer for Brewer to get the start, right?
Nope, there are other variables and factors one of which is Whitt doesn’t speak QB.

Ironically, we very well may see Wilson transfer after the season anyway. It sounds like he’s not well liked by the players and he’s not happy here. This is the problem with loyalty when it comes to teenagers, they’re not going to be loyal just because you were.
Whitt’s loyalty has become a detriment to the team on a few occasions. Allowing Barnes to play in the bowl game after he had already announced his plan to hit the portal, playing Rising against ASU when he was CLEARLY injured, sticking with Wilson who is apparently good for 1 TD a game, and now giving Rising the option to come back next year, which would set the QB room back even further.
Whitt is the head coach and he needs to make head coach decisions, even if it hurts some feelings along the way.

Nope. Not having this conversation again.
