I’m at the Crimson Club Luncheon and I asked Whitt about the QB situation going forwards. He said that Isaac and Brandon are splitting reps this week and the starter will be a game time decision. He also said that Brandon has improved quite a bit this year and it wouldn’t surprise him if he got a lot more playing time. He also mentioned that Money Parks is out for the season with a broken clavicle. He let that one slip.

It’s not a slip if it was season ending. They always announce season ending injuries just not injuries that may result in a player only missing part of the season or a few games. This was also talked about in his weekly press availability after yesterday‘s practice.

What I meant by slip is that he specified what type of injury it was. The exact quote from him was: “Yeah. Money Parks is out for the season with a broken cla…I mean upper body injury.”

The fact that Huard isn’t even being mentioned as a contender blows my mind. Is he hurt? Is he lazy? Or is he truly so horribly bad at football that he isn’t able to come up with 14 points a game?

Yeah, the feeling I got was that he wasn’t even part of the picture. Unless something unforeseen happens, it’s either Isaac or Brandon the rest of the season.

Looking forward to a fresh start with MS allowing a new OC to do his job not interfering with recruiting and developing QBs fitting a new offensive system. Unfortunately, KW for all his accomplishments ends his career with the same recurring issues he could never really escape. Beginning to think Ludwig may be the smartest one of all to flee the burning building first. Scalley sure to face his own challenges, hopefully some good lessons to carry forward from his mentor.
