ParticipantI find this matchup intriguing and plan on watching. KSU is one of the favorites to contend for B12 title and most of us don’t have a lot of familiarity with them. We are obviously very familiar with the Zoobs.
I’ll be disappointed if KSU lays an egg here. I’d like to see KSU dominate BYU but would not be terribly surprised to see the Cougars give a good showing. If we can count on our league mates to rough up the Zoobs, being a member will be more fun!
I want to see some cat-on-cat throw down.
I’ll rate my interest as 8/10.

KeymasterI will probably watch with two goals for the game. 1. Evaluate Kansas State. 2. Watch the zoo lose.

Central Coast Ute

ParticipantAs a Big 12/8 guy since birth, KSU should win easily. The only wildcard is KSU’s young QB, who may make a mistake or two that keeps BYU in the game. KSU has insane speed, so if the turnovers are minimal, KSU should run away with this game. P.S. other Ute fans, you will love the Big 12! The OG teams are historic, and the new teams are exciting. Many of you don’t even know Colorado was once a part of the original Big 12/8!

The Miami Ute
ParticipantI wonder if any people here remember the SWC and Big East. College football has changed a lot since I started watching in the mid-70s.
-
Central Coast Ute
ParticipantI don’t remember the SWC, but i do remember the Big East. The changes over the last 20 years have been crazy.
-
The Miami Ute
ParticipantNo kidding? Once upon a time Texas, A&M, SMU, TCU, Rice, Houston, Arkansas, Texas Tech and Baylor were all the e same conference. The conference champion had an automatic berth to the Cotton Bowl.
You must be young seeing as the SWC broke up in 1996.-
2008 National Champ
ParticipantThe NCAA couldn’t control the SWC. They just rotated which school was going to be on probation every year until SMU got the death penalty.
-
The Miami Ute
ParticipantShows how college football has changed that once upon a time SMU was a national power. Eric Dickerson and Craig James aka The Pony Express…

ParticipantOnce school’s directly paying players becomes legal the circle may be complete. SMU is a small school but they have plenty of boosters willing to invest in the best roster money can buy.

ParticipantIf you want to convince us the Big 12 is the s**t probably leave the Colorado part out.

The Miami Ute
ParticipantMy only interest in this game is watching KSU. I could give a rat’s ass about anything BYU does. They’ve never been a part of my decision making cycle.

ParticipantSame here, Miami. As a potential B12 contender / threat to Utah, I’m interested in how KSU does. It is ALWAYS Utah first for me, and it feels like KSU losing would give us more room for error. And if that means losing to TSPP, so be it. Doesn’t mean I’ll be cheering for TSPP, of course.
