What are the reasonable expectations for Covey next season?

I love Covey.  I watch the reel when I get bored at work (I have a problem, so what?).  What can we reasonably expect from him as a player this season.  I know that he is working out with Jordan Pendelton to get ready for the season but right now he looks like a holocaust survivor.  The picture on twitter of him with Booker and Patrick just last week show exactly how guant he currently is.  Granted he is not a big guy but as a freshmen he was a very solid 165 and right now he looks to be a soft 140.

I am of the impression that it may be 2019 before we get him back for real.  Thoughts?

One Offensive or Specail Teams Player of the Week in Pac-12?

Hopefull for a return to form. His strengths were never size or speed, but instinct and feel for the game. I can’t imagine 2 years walking around South America is helpful in that regard.  If I had to bet though, I would say a significant drop off is more likely. I hope I am wrong.

A drop off from where he was is to be expected. I think it is reasonable to get back to where he was if not improve.

Depends on his mental desires I think. A lot of people would say mental toughness or fortitude I think he is fine there. The hardest thing for kids coming back from missions is if they have the desire still. Perspectives and desires change over a time frame no matter what you are doing.
