Finished with the best score of the day with a 197.7625, beating out UCLA (197.7375), Oklahoma (197.5500) and Missouri (197.3000)!
Let’s hope the ladies can bring home the title on Saturday!!!

Lots of nerves showed today for all teams. The Red Rocks were able to come back for the win. Could this be the year? I’d love to see McCallum go out big and the Utes win it.

As merely a filthy casual fan, never going to a meet but watching occasionally on TV, I’m not knowledgeable on the sport and the scoring. But they did say this was one of the closest and competitive meets, and it seemed that way to me from watching on TV. But I wasn’t sure if they were just saying that and being caught up in the moment or just over the top commentary.

Too me, after the meet they seemed to spend more time talking about all the other teams besides Utah, hoping that draws more motivation for the Red Rocks

Yeah, the commentators were definitely sucking off UCLA. As the final scores were going up, all commentary and cameras were on UCLA…all the while I’m thinking “who just won the meet?” But I get it – UCLA is a much bigger brand than Utah. That’s what ESPN is now: A brand-pumping sports whore.

Turning attention back to the actual sport: For the first time in years, I think Utah has a legit shot at winning the natty. Every team in the final four has an Achilles’ heel. The door is open for Utah to win this.

fUCLA may be a “bigger brand” in a “bigger (B10) Conference”, but the Rocks have OWNED fUCLA for the past several years in gymnastics.

I hope this is the Utes year!

It’s good that LSU didn’t make the final. OU will be tough though, as will UCLA. They probably need to clean a few things up to have a chance at winning on Saturday. They looked good though.
