Any updates on Reid and O’Toole’s injuries? Will they play Saturday? Any other injured players returning? Can’t wait to stop making this weekly post..

You know what time it is?!?!?! Game time! (Decision)
Reid might play

Let’s not do this to ourselves anymore. Because no matter the answer we get, we still don’t know. The Whittlight Zone has fried our brains when it comes to injuries. Whoever runs out Saturday is who’s playing.

admiraluteParticipant
Why ask anymore? Nobody knows except the coaches and you know we are not getting any insight from them.
Here on out is if they play – they play. We have been dragged around enough and should know better.

Reid is on the DJ/PK show every Monday. Every week since he’s been injured he is always asked if he will be back on the field playing in next game coming up. Every time Reid gives a non-answer (he’s been definitely schooled by the coaching staff to not give a yes or no answer). Well this past Monday, instead of being asked the same “will you be playing in the next game”, Reid was asked if he will be “shutting it down and coming back next year to save an eligibility year”, i.e. redshirting. He essentially said “no” to this question.
Maybe (I hope!), this means that he will be or is close to returning.

Although I sort of understand the potential gamesmanship and advantage of not saying if a star QB is playing (although I fall on the side of more disclosure), it boggles my mind that the coaches think there is ANY advantage in not disclosing the return timetable of someone like Reid. Maybe I am wrong, but I do not think opposing teams are changing their schemes based on whether Reid is playing. The secrecy does nothing but annoy and turn-off fans.
Some may say, “who cares what the fans think? I am playing every advantage to win.” I would respond that such an attitude is shortsighted because fans can be forgiving of mistreatment when you win, but things can change quickly when you start to lose. So you better be sure that the annoyance of the fans really pays off with wins.

Maybe the strategy is working, but we’re just losing by less. 🙂

Maybe he’s shutting it down and entering the draft 😜

Ghost or OnlyU probably have a good idea. I may know more tomorrow when I talk to my “source”

Yes. Yes. Please let us know so we can prepare our minds for Saturday.

Heard on the Utah Blockcast this week per Tanuvasa that they both practiced this week. Thus we wait…

Mac just said Reid was playing. Not sure about OToole

Great news!

Thanks everyone for your responses.
I’m addicted to this abusive relationship 🫠 -

Awesome news on Reid – let’s hope it is a reality.
Need O’Toole & Tanuvasa out there also. TCU is a passing team this season (5th in the country in passing yards) so need all our best pass rushers.
