We’re still a defensive team. We’re just having a down year. You don’t lose once-in-a-generation players like we had last year and not experience a dropoff. The nasty Utah defense will be back.

We are not seeing a step backwards. We are seeing a completely impotent defense. No pass rush, no discipline on the d line. This is a waste of a excellent offense.

Some psychologist should do a study on people who overreact during/immediately after sporting events they’re too emotionally invested in.

I’m not interested in him as head coach.

The defense is trending downward. They gave up 500 + yards to UCLA. 450+ against Florida and OSU. They are trending towards giving up 600 yards today.

who were the “once in a generation” players? Lloyd? Barton and Hanson are in the NFL.

Tafua? He’s no Dimick, Anae or Orchard.

        Vonte Davis? McKinney? Sewell?

The only problem with this Defense is the Linebackers and that’s on coaching for not having the next wave ready to go.

“once in a generation” is a big thing to say. I think weddle and possibly alex smith are the only players in quite some time that fit that bill.

Once in a generation is not just making the NFL its thriving there IMO.
