  Looks like Mammoth has leaked as the new team name. I was hoping that they would stay as the UHC but Mammoth wasn’t far off from being my personal favorite.

  I think it’s a good and unique name. A lot of merchandise branding opportunities too. I hope he gets the logo right. Your UHC gear will now be a collector’s item on the bright side.

  I personally am happy about the Mammoth name. I hated HC, but am fine with it for this first year. My preference was 1. Outlaws, 2. Mammoth, 3. Yeti.

    A pox on your house…honestly though, they picked a nationally televised game to put on their worst performance of the season. I’m sure Tourigny will be letting them know that their effort tonight was not acceptable. It was almost as if they couldn’t be bothered to exert themselves.

      Good find, it’ll be interesting to see how the logo and mascot (Wooly) may differ from the Lacrosse team. Kinda looks like stuff from Univ of Alabama football with more prominent tusks (cue Fleetwood Mac).

  This is a good nickname and I think will come out of the chute quickly as a fun name inside and outside of Utah. It has HUGE merchandising upside. I think, if it’s Mammoth, they got it right. Much more right than STILL being saddled with Jazz.
