      The coaches love him. They see him as the next Chase Hansen, but he is more polished on defense coming out of HS than Chase was.

        We have fewer mission kids than mission kids these days. It sure is different than years past.

        Whatever he decides to do is 100% fine by me. I mean that.

        but i wonder if theres some room for him not to go if he really breaks out as a freshman. Otherwise i feel like the obvious choice is to go and miss this “throwaway” season. Im not an athlete though, maybe they see it differently. But if there are seasons to miss. This seems like an obvious one to be a part of that 2 years. But i guess the decision is more complicated than that, individually

          I think the opposite would be true. Playing this year now that there’s a season is all upside no real downside. This year won’t count against eligibility and he’ll get some experience, so at least mentally he’ll be able to adjust a bit easier when getting back.
