      I see Lawler is listed as the backup for both Corner spots. What happened to Fabian Marks? He sure dropped off the map after his injury last year.

      Hope Bernard has been working on his backpedal if there are only 3 CB’s available for another Rose Bowl.

      (and yes, I fully understand that published depth charts are meaningless)

        Had surgery recently. Got hurt a few weeks back.

          A few observations from the depth chart:

          O’Toole is number 1 DE ahead of Gabe Reid

          Ellis is recovered and back on the depth chart

          Apparently Lawler is the only CB we intend to play beyond the starters. I get that Marks had surgery but we have others in the room like Savage, Hughes, etc. If they are not able to provide depth after some time in the program then we have to expect Snowden and Blocker will come in ahead of them. I expect to see some CBs transfer.

          Vaki is the nickel back and will probably play most of the game unless we are getting killed by the run game. The best thing about Vaki at nickel is that he is not just a defender but he is an excellent tackler.

          Maea is not backup at center. He must be injured.
