Not sure if anyone is flying Southwest… If so start drinking now. Ha ha, that should say “start driving” because I’m in LA. Our flights out of Denver were cancelled. We split up, wife and kids flew to Ontario, I flew to Long Beach on Monday. Our flight home tomorrow along with almost all Southwest flights out of LAX, Ontario, Long Beach, etc are cancelled. We barely got a rental car and are driving home tomorrow. Southwest is a mess. And it will affect other carriers. Prices are through the roof.

Universal was fun yesterday. Very busy.

Yeah one friend just informed me he’s bailing on Southwest and jumping in the car.

Southwest announced they will be fully operational again on Friday. Not sure I believe that but there is a lot of pressure on the company to resolve their problems. I don’t think that means they will be caught up with getting everyone rebooked and baggage delivered.

My plan all along has been to drive most of the way on Sunday to avoid having to pay for another hotel night. But I’m starting to get worried with snow predictions for Sunday that that might not be the best plan…

We just checked in for our flight tomorrow. Crossing my fingers, being nice and hoping for karma while praying. Otherwise we’re screwed with five people, luggage and a 13 hour drive in a mid sized car.

Last year the drive from slc to Pasadena took 16 hours because of the snow. Another storm from St. George to SLC is expected to hit Sunday. This year I’m headed out Saturday morning to hopefully beat the storm. Drive safely! Leave early and drive as slow as you need to go to arrive alive.
