      SALT LAKE CITY – After a roller coaster meet, the No. 2-ranked Utah gymnasts secured their first Pac-12 win of the season Friday night after downing No. 13 Arizona State 197.400-196.100 in the conference opener. The Red Rocks posted a season high on bars and after a shaky beam rotation, the Utes posted the nation’s second best floor score of the year to end the night in fashion.

      No. 2 Utah will be back in action next Saturday, Jan. 29, to host No. 13 Stanford. The Utes and Cardinal will compete at 2 p.m. MT in Salt Lake City. The meet will be live streamed and will be ‘Character Day’ inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center.

      Outside of Maile and Cristal the beam rotation was one of the worst I’ve seen since we’ve had season tickets. Amazing that we still scored a 197.4. This team is talented
