Remember when ESPN was looking for hotel rooms in SLC, and then Utah and Wash St s**t the bed?

      Good times.

I only want them here if we are good enough to have them.  So far I’d say they made the right choice.

Part of the sick feeling is that we aren’t what we thought we were, so I agree.

Yeah. Guilty. I assumed our O line would be as good or better than last year. I also assumed we would have a solid kicking game. I also assumed Covey would be a threat like he was before the injury. We can and should still improve. It will be interesting to see how much and where.

Copy. Good points. It seems Covey needs more time to heal.

It’s not that Utah lost, it’s the way they lost. National audience unfortunately witnessed a poorly prepared, poorly disciplined, poorly coached team. On the coaches. Looking at the box score it’s crazy how Utah lost this game. Torched for 351 yards by a third string QB is rough. Props to USC and coach Helton. Feel bad for the Utah kids who worked their butts off. TH is warrior. Love watching that kid play hard for his team. I have know clue what to expect for tonight’s game…hopefully it all comes together. Go Utes!

If you spend time with a football team thru practice and all, you can realize a well prepared very disciplined and well coached team can face a talented team, see things unexpected, get out quicked while thinking, fail to fully mesh new players back into the lineup, have bad breaks, or in the moment get beat. A poor team can look good one day and a good team can look poor one day. Because I have not been at practice I cannot comment on prepared, disciplined or coaching. I don’t so much even think they had a poor game, but I did see some mistakes and bad breaks. To determine the cause of that thru TV is a bit difficult – for me.

The two holding calls on TEs were a mystery to me, JJ falling down with the hand fighting remains a mystery, Blackmon took a bad angle at a very bad moment. Since even our best teams have had bad moments, I would want to see them play another day before I would move toward your description.
